All audio editing is performed using the latest version of Adobe Audition CC 2024 as our primary DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). We also offer advanced noise reduction tools such as Izotope’s RX-11 Advanced, Accentize’s dxRevive Pro, and ACON Digital’s DeVerberate3.

Basic Audio Processing (included in all service tiers): Simple background noise reduction, everyone’s volume levels matched, mixing in of your existing intro / outro / ads / music, and mastering a final .mp3 for publishing.

Advanced Audio Processing (included in Gold, Platinum, and Per-Minute service tiers): Advanced noise reduction (wind, traffic, air conditioning, buzzing), advanced volume and level management, plosive management, sibilance reduction, hum removal, de-reverbing, pops and clicks reduction, utilizing world-renowned Izotope RX-11 Advanced audio repair software as well as Accentize’s dxRevive Pro, and Acon Digital DeVerberate3.

The Fine Print For Podcast Editing Services:

Show Styles: (Solo, Interview, “NPR”, Narrative, or Documentary) : Gold and Platinum tiers are designed around either a solo or a 1 on 1 person interview style podcast. The Silver tier offers unlimited time and unlimited people, but all people’s audio must already be in sync with each other. For Gold and Platinum tiers, additional fees apply if your podcast contains more than 2 people, or exceeds 60 minutes in raw audio. If your podcast is in the style of an “NPR”, narrative, or documentary podcast, our editing rate is $60.00/hour. Music, sound effects and sound design are available at additional cost. Additional labor may be necessary depending on your show’s needs. Contact us for an estimate or for questions on any style of podcast.

All prices posted are per single podcast episode. Audio based podcasts only, we do not offer video podcast editing. The times listed in minutes for each tier or service actually refer to the maximum allowed time of all raw audio submitted for editing, and does not reflect the final edited time. Our standard labor rate is $60.00/hour, however we have special podcast only tiers available at discounted rates. Rush service is available 24/7/365 at additional charge. Only 1 episode per 7 day period, per show. We do not currently service shows that publish more than once per week. For Silver and Gold Tier, there is a $25.00 fee per additional draft beyond the first draft.

We autonomously (on our own) edit your show, based on service level selected. Currently, the only tier that allows you to include your own editing instructions is Platinum. For Platinum we require your edits to be based on timestamps and identifying information you provide prior to our receiving the episode. A transcript is highly recommend which you will need to provide. We DO NOT autonomously (on our own) edit for content because we are not content producers or content experts for your particular podcast. We can publish your episodes to Libsyn only.

The Gold and Platinum tiers provide an evaluation of explicit language used on your podcast episode, to act as a recommendation for rating the episode properly on Apple Podcasts. Although explicit language is not officially regulated on podcasts as it is for broadcast television and radio, we feel it is important that our clients know IF explicit language is found in their podcast episode, it is important to mark each episode properly and responsibly as explicit if so warranted. KNVP Studios uses internal basic guidelines, to determine if a podcast episode contains explicit language and will recommend a rating for our client to use when publishing. However, this is only a suggestion and the client’s own rating will always prevail. Apple Podcasts, which is the most popular and largest podcasting “host” takes the rating of individual podcasts and their episodes seriously, and continued complaints logged by listeners to Apple about your podcast being mislabeled, may lead to suspension or worse for your podcast on the Apple platform. The Silver tier excludes this explicit language evaluation. However, for Gold and Platinum tiers, you have the option to remove or censor any foul language. Contact us for more details.
